Re: Building GBS Zero (Race)
I'm trying my best to take care...doesn't help that I want to be out driving with you guys!!
Still, it's getting there and having it finally on it's wheels (even if only 3 at the movement) is some good motivation.

Re: Building GBS Zero (Race)
Clearly I have been very poor at posting updates on here(!) as the car is now complete and ready to go to the rolling road in a couple of weeks before IVA and then on the road
As promised to Mark (Greenwoo) I have added the SKCC stickers to the car:
Also more photos of the car:
Please let me know if you want to see more of it.
Hopefully I will be able to meet up and join you guys on the various trips very soon

Re: Building GBS Zero (Race)
Thanks Tony, certainly fingers crossed for no more broken propshafts!
Have fitted a removable section to the vertical chassis rail by the diff so I can get the propshaft in and out more easily in the future. 5mm mild steel bar with 4 x 8mm holes (2 top and 2 bottom) for M8 bolts.
Should be strong enough! (will also get a small web welded in between the bars for added stiffness).
Hows your car doing now then after all of the long road trips? Definitely got the bonnet vents on my list of post IVA to-dos!

Re: Building GBS Zero (Race)
Yes, hopefully that will sort the issues caused by the prop out, still cant believe that happened
My cars looking very sorry for itself at the moment, i managed to change out the faulty fuel pump so that jobs done, ive fitted the replacement calliper after using over a litre of brake fluid on the Alps trip, but noticed my brake pipe needs changing too but because im in the middle of a house move all my tools are packed and i cant find my stuff to bleed the brakes with so ive left it.
My car is currently in my mums garage and looks like a skip with all the stuff ive chucked in it, hopefully the move will happen soon and ill be sorted
