Great Trevor.

I am not sure if Mango is going so I will chase him next week when I get back and if not I will find a hotel and tunnel times etc.

Looking forward to going. :D :D

 Suffolk actually but only by 3 miles. The internet is pretty much the same speed as it was in Bracknell though due to Openreach's incompetence we were without it for a week. Moved house on 31st July. Manic month leading up to the move with a dozen or so trips to the tip (should've hired a skip) and the need to move three cars 150 miles. Best bits were moving the Fury and driving a 7.5T cargo truck - one advantage of having a driving licence issued so long ago. Now trying to find the Fury again under all the cr@p that got dumped in the *double* garage.
If anyone has ever moved into a new build house you may know how annoying it is trying to deal with insurance companies and others who have not updated their Royal Mail issued postcode databases.
Of the insurers of our house, contents and three cars, only one had our house listed (though it's been on the RM database for three months). Guess who - A-plan for the Fury insurance. Very impressed with how quickly they dealt with it. Mind you, there was a £25 admin fee...

Meanwhile, back onto the thread subject, we have:

1. Trevor, entry number 66
2. Paul, 92
3. David, 97

We are all booked on the 08:36 train out on Saturday 27th and back on the 20:50 from Calais in the Sunday. Hotel in Bruay-la-Buissiere booked as well.

Anyone else?

I think this will be the sixth consecutive rallye I have taken part in including the first one I did as a passenger. The tunnel and hotel on this one are an absolute bargain at £65 and €48 respectively. To me these rallies are a bit like a home cooked roast dinner - something always enjoyable that I'll never tire of.

Trevor, Paul and I all got safely home late Sunday night after what we agreed was the best French rallye weekend so far ever in the history of SKCC French rallye weekends.

Great Saturday run across Northern France including a visit to the car themed Garage Cafe at Ouve. Great weather apart from the bit where it rained a lot for 20 minutes (only a problem for Trevor - without a windscreen). We did go on the beach and some even paddled in the sea.

Great rallye on Sunday, cracking blat back to the tunnel and no end of banter and p*** taking all weekend.

My SatNav self destructing during a map update on Friday didn't bode well. However, I remembered the passports and with Trevor setting an excellent pace at the front and Paul trailing in our wake at the rear ;) the lack of SatNav didn't matter much.

There might be a proper write up at some point though with Mrs Mango's round number birthday on Wednesday and my garden leave ending as I start a new job on Thursday, don't hold your breath.

The non-French category first prize in the rallye was won by an SKCC entrant :D
