Again thanks tony for sorting this out. Enjoyed the banter as usual. As Already said shame we couldnt have breakfast outside but having a beer in fresh air made up for it.
Was great to see so many people in 1 place and would def be good if we could have a few more mass meetings in the year.

Thanks Tony for organising today it was a good day although it was a shame the show was lacking a bit. A few of us did hang around for a little run round the track and here's a little video to prove it did happen

We also caught a heavy cloudburst on the way home, good news is that the car survived its first skcc meet with no problems. After a great day it didn't seem to matter that I returned home soaked through with standing water in the car. Thanks to Tony for all the effort he put into arranging today. I look forward to the next run with such a friendly and welcoming club.
Cheers guys,
Mark

Re: Total Kitcar LIVE Sat 15th November - a group event
I got there before you all arrived (apart from paul & linda), there was a queue to get in so I drove in the 'exit' and the 'hi viz' brigade must've thought I was a VIP or something
as they just watched me go through, I didn't actually know that's where you were supposed to pay (honest) so the four of us got in for free, which was a result as I would've been well p1ssed if I had to pay £14 to get in! Walked round twice (2nd time was just as poop as the first!). Then the rabble turned up and managed to say hi to some of you and have a long chat with Neil about the upgrade and various other stuff (thanks Neil!), such a shame companies involved in this industry don't support such events, big thumbs down to them but well done to those who did... anyone buy any alloygaitors?

anyone buy any alloygaitors?![]()
why whats wrong with them?
actually the show bore out what i've long held to be true, there are few single events that can hold my attention, but making a day of it with the brekkie, and then being part of the larger group it was easy to see the time slip away, sure there wasn't that much to do, but there were cars on track, it was possible to get rides, and the chatter/banter was as always good

i left with J and Dick around 3 - could have stayed for the parade lap thing, but the skies had cleared and having done TD's at Brands the parade held little appeal.....
to make it better?
more manufacturers, +/or few more cars on track, i see that atleast 6 garages were 'unsold'.....
few more traders.
Kit car clubs needed to be nearer to the main buildings.....tucked away where they were i doubt that they got much attention and i for one wasnt about to hike back to look at others .....

Yes I did as I have a scratched wheel. I did manage to fend off the appeals of Dick and Jay who thought pink would look nice ( to go with my feminine roof no doubt!) but managed to buy some black ones. Only planning to do the fronts at the moment and see how they go. Certainly cheaper than having the wheels refurbished.
Also well done to Tony for organising a great breakfast and a great gathering, just a shame about the weather. Our great weather god obviously wasn't on form yesterday so a soggy day but great fun all the same. Not about the weather, more about the company and the banter. The show could have the making of being good but I agree with Mark there needs to be more to do and to park us all away from the action was just plain daft. The general car park was nearer!!. Still it our local event and as such I am happy to support it. Without the SKCC I fear numbers would have looked very thin.

More down to the fact that you was walking about swinging your handbag when we see you

And it was definitely a handbag and it was definitely Jills. Black is a little to subdued for me, I'm a more white bag sort of guy !
