Re: Winter repairs
Well after a couple of days rest and stocking up on the fat reserves the back seems to be getting better and no sign of dizzyness since the first day so i have ventured out into the garage for a short time today.
cleaned the inside edges of the panels within the engine bay and the chassis rails, mastic epoxy stuff seems to be holding up well on the rails.
More of the wiring is now looking neater and some is now secured back in place, managed to get the steering shaft off as need to take it to a range rover spares place to work out the UJ joint i used at the time, to now get rid of the play in the system.
Got both sides, front suspension / wishbones stripped off so the shocks can hopefully go for refurbishment when the world goes back to work tomorrow and can strip and clean the bones and bushes to stop the squeaks.
Just been on line and ordered some more of the bustbuster 121 mastic epoxy mastic as need to prep and clean the area round the front / radiator / chassis area.
not had a chance to look for a place to re core the old mk2 Escort rad yet.
Rich.

Re: Winter repairs
Rich what does it cost to recore a rad these days? Given a polo rad is only £20 new is it work considering that?

Re: Winter repairs
Thats a fair point Neil but my fan and horn mount on the rad and the rad mounts to the chassis are all sorted so cheaper timewise in the long run.
