Supercharged Phoenix for sale - Maybe

Postby jeffw » Sun Oct 18, 2015 8:41 am

I'm in two minds about selling the Phoenix. If anyone is actually interested I can put up the, very long, spec. As a ballpark I'd be looking for £23K or so for it.

I feel the need for something like a Radical SR8 or maybe I'll just continue with the Phoenix. Don't know really. If someone waves cash under my nose I'd likely sell it.

You are SO naughty, made me chuckle though.
I was going to recommend a Zero but was concerned it may not have been taken in the spirit it was meant.

I met with Mike O'Brien of Speedsports about 5 years ago, he showed James and I around his race prep workshop at Silverstone, had a few Radicals in there which he prepped for the race series, didn't have much good to say about them, fragile temperamental and forever working on them. If it's a hassle free car you're looking for Jeff, not sure they will deliver, they sounded more high maintenance than the Phoenix. A few on the bay at the moment mind you.

They would do as much work in one race as I would do in a season. Sprinting them will be less hassle (I think !). What I really fancy is a prototype car, something like a Jade or Norma....problem is the cost of them. I tried a OMS 2000M single seater the other day and I couldn't get my shoulders in the cockpit. Something like a Mygale Formula Ford might be doable...
