I have taken out my old rad which has been leaking since before north Weald and got a polo rad to fit instead.
It seems to want to sit quite high on the car so I can get pipes on etc, when I put the nose back on it looks high up in the hole. Is this how others have got them fitted?

Re: Radiator mounting
I think the chassis rails across the front my my tigers were lower, but even so I found some hose with a 'double set' in them to lower the rad, you can see the top hose in this photo

Re: Radiator mounting
Matt,
It does look VERY high in the second pic, but as long as you can get the nose cone on, and bonnet, and all fitted correctly, then it should be fine
However, I would add some form of diverter plate at the bottom, to ensure the airflow goes into the rad, and not under it
or you could fit an oil cooler below the rad

Re: Radiator mounting
Like Tony says, does look a bit high. Just make sure you vent the air out correctly.

Re: Radiator mounting
I was thinking it looked a bit high, I've also found some pics of some fitted to other mk' s since I came in from the garage and they have it a bit lower with the same rad so I will look into fitting lower if I can

Here's mine Matt. Don't have that gap at the bottom when the nose is on.
Mind you if the nose fits ok then it leaves you room for an intercooler.
