Re: Insurance - read on please chaps....
Just renewed my insurance and gave A-Plan a go again, Chris came up with the goods, £139.00 with an agreed value, breakdown with home start and legal cover. So very happy Thanks Mark for sorting this company out.

I never even got a renewal notice from them. So I phoned up A plan. Then, 2 days before my FP insurance was due to expirevI got a phone call from.... FP.
FP "Your Tiger insurance is due to expire in 2 days".
Me " Yes, I know" (I'm sharp...).
FP "Would you like to renew?".
Me "I've already insured elsewhere"
FP "OK, bye"
I didn't even get the chance to say ".....because you never sent me renewal terms".... before FP rang off. They want out of the kit car business don't they, they're not even trying.

That is what she told me.
I had the same letter as Graham from FP basically saying "go away not interested in kit cars any more".
Got a policy from A Plan at a good rate.
Dealt with Chris. Agreed value at same value as previous FP policy.
My car is 5 years old so I don't understand the comments above. What's the age got to do with agreeing a value anyway?
Tip - if you send an email to A Plan (as I did with the agreed value pictures), phone them straight away as well. They seemed to need a manual email alert. That said everyone I dealt with on the phone was very friendly and professional.

FP sent me through a renewal notice and I've renewed for 12 months at £137.

Same here too. I've been with A-Plan since they first signed up as a WSCC sponsor 3 years ago and have always had agreed value on my Westfield which is now 6 years old. i can only pressume that this may be related to one underwriter who only offers AV for classic cars.
FWIW I also have policies with A-Plan for my two tin tops, the house and the single seater I can't fault their service,
Mark
