Sevenoaks to Eastbourne and Beyond

belting run……….
felt a tad red eyed when the alarm went off but the coffee worked wonders…was joined just as i was leaving home by James and after a quick refuel met the rest of the posse at the Moat before heading off to pick up ‘phase 2’……was quite chuffed that I remembered the route without the aid of sat nav ( well at least the 1st part)……

Car behaved well and was most impressed with the ‘turn in and grip levels’ – irrespective of running 888’s……

time for a natter and plenty of banter at Pett ( coast ) where Tony B broke his clutch cable…..for those that missed what we were laughing about just before we set off – I suggested to Rob that he put his keys in Tony’s ignition – cue hilarity as having fixed his clutch Tony wondered why the heck he couldn’t turn his key! Childish but highly amusing!!!!

Followed the route for another few miles before splitting with a few of the runners for Sovereign Harbour – thought we might have seen Mick ( kam ) down there or at least his car…….sat in the sun and had my 1st full english for a few weeks!! OK not the best brekkie but ‘usable’ and the setting in the sun especially was glorious – one of those places I could plot up at all day….

James and I followed the route home and thought that Dick and Chris were somewhere closeish behind – obviously not. We travelled some lovely roads on the way back until forced to use the A21 due to fuel shortage…..bloody small tank.

guys good to be back and really looking forward to getting my engine in that R6 – think it’ll be a bit of a weapon then……
