Lydden Track Time & a Run Out!
Well what a birthday this has been. I was a bit worried first thing wjen I ventured out at 5.30 to get the car out and it was foggy and I mean proper fog NOT mist…. fog.
Made the schoolboy error of deciding to wear my crash helmet while blat…. I mean driving responsibly down the M20 to the rallye point in he dark and fog…. did I mention it was foggy? With a dark visor I had to drive by braille using the cats eyes.
Met up at the Moat and had ten minutes of banter before heading off to meet T and the boys. Great roads took in Rye and the Lyddring to breakfast at the Oasis.
Once that was dispatched it was rime to heads for the hills and high tail it to Lydden for some hot laps.
The session idea Lydden have adopted is excellent and very cost effective. There wax a good selection of cars and we got out on track in a timely manner. I managed 3 sessions in the end, the last one with Nigel riding shotgun.
It was, for me a great way to spend my birthday.
Thanks to everyone who came and hope to see you two out soon
