27th April – Edenbridge to Cowfold…
Duncan led a little run from Edenbridge down to Cowfold….and writes….
Well, the weather wasn’t too bad this morning
I headed out on the run I’d planned with the hood up expecting “thundery showers” and up to Maresfield it was dry. The rain started at the Ashdown forest and it was quite wet near Edenbridge. Heading down to Groombridge it dried up and it was dry almost all the way to the Chalet from there!
I thought about taking the hood off, but it’s hard to know where to store a wet hood
No traffic down the Colemans Hatch road or all the way down the A275 here:
I got past a couple of cars near Plumpton after which a cow must have flown over me, well whatever it was, the stuff splattered over the screen and hood looked like a cow pat glad I left the hood on!
No traffic on the A283 past Steyning then onto the B2139 and B2133 which were good roads without too many potholes, then back to the Chalet on the A272
It was nice to see Tony waiting at the Chalet and Mattijs soon arrived.
Colin couldn’t make it, thanks for the text
I parked next to nice and quick looking MX5 who didn’t have his hood on, respect! :
He turned out to be a member of SKCC
Good breakfast, I went for the healthy option £5.75 including tea and I’d say it was a 9 out 10.
By the time we’d finished chatting it was pouring, so I too the quick route home.
